Attendance Manager at Ashton Community Science College. Full‑time, term‑time 37 hours per week, plus two additional days. Starts September 2026. Location Aldwych Drive, Ashton, Preston, Lancashire, PR2 1SL.
Salary & Position
Grade 7 (point 19‑25). Pay range £32,061 – £36,363 (term‑time) or £27,392 – £31,068 pro‑rata. Subject to the 26/27 National Junior College pay award.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monitoring and analysis of attendance data to identify trends and underlying causes.
- Develop and implement whole‑school attendance strategies focused on early intervention and student engagement.
- Build strong, empathetic relationships with parents/carers, maintaining high expectations.
- Collaborate with pastoral staff, senior leaders and external partners to support pupils at risk of persistent or severe absence.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support the school’s inclusive ethos by ensuring all pupils feel supported and can participate in school life.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience in education or a related role with a focus on attendance, pupil support or pastoral care.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into action.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and the duty to provide a safe environment for children.
