Elm Tree Community Primary School is a warm, nurturing and ambitious special school dedicated to supporting children aged 4–11 who experience social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. We are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant 2B to help our pupils thrive.
About the team
Each class benefits from a strong, consistent staffing structure, including a Class Teacher, HLTA, Teaching Assistant 3, and Teaching Assistant 2B. The team‑based approach ensures each child receives personalised support.
Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to pupils.
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using consistent strategies.
- Help create a classroom environment that is calm, safe, and nurturing.
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development, celebrating progress and encouraging resilience.
- Contribute to assessment, record‑keeping and communication with families and professionals.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, HLTAs and TAs to ensure the needs of all pupils are met.

Remuneration
Term‑time only role; paid for 45.25 weeks per year, includes annual leave and bank holiday entitlement. Salary: £19,810.42 – £21,451.57 based on term‑time‑only calculation.
