A small Primary School is seeking an exceptional, committed and forward-thinking Assistant Headteacher Inclusion and SENDCo to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a key strategic role with significant responsibility for shaping inclusive practice, SEND provision and outcomes for all learners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on SEND, Inclusion, Equality and Medical Needs across the school.
  • Oversee the strategic development of SEND provision, line-manage the SEND team and ensure statutory compliance.
  • Champion high expectations and ensure pupils with additional needs make strong progress.
  • Contribute to whole-school leadership, improvement planning, and staff development.
  • Play a full part in the Senior Leadership Team, supporting school organisation, safeguarding, curriculum development and quality of education.
  • Lead on the strategic use of the Pupil Premium Grant to improve outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.

Qualifications

  • Holds (or is working towards/willing to undertake) the NASENCO qualification.
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status.

Essential Experience

  • Strong experience leading whole-school SEND provision, shaping strategic direction, developing policies and embedding inclusive practice.
  • Leading and supporting staff effectively, providing guidance, training and management of SEND and 1:1 teams.
