Salary £25,185 - £25,989 per annum • Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week • Lancaster District Adult Disability Domiciliary Service

What we are looking for

  • Passion – we want to recruit people with a passion to make a difference to the lives of the people we support, providing support as second nature. You will help with personal care, household chores, finances, medication and everyday tasks, and you will support people into the community to participate in activities.
  • Empathy & Resilience – you will understand the challenges faced by the people we support, with motivation to keep going on difficult days. You may face challenging behaviour, but your determination to provide excellent care will help you respond with reassurance and positivity. Clear and effective communication with every individual is essential.
  • Reward – this role is highly rewarding as you see the difference you make in a person’s life. From commencing in post, you will receive an induction programme and mandatory training. The service supports career development with various qualifications and training, including an apprenticeship that is NVQ Level 3 equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care and support in people’s own homes as part of the Adult Disability Service.
  • Assist with personal care, household tasks, and daily routines.
  • Support individuals with finances and medication administration as required.
  • Facilitate participation in community activities and outings to promote wellbeing and engagement.
  • Support individuals to maintain independence and wellbeing in everyday life.
