Mobile Catering Assistant |Peripatetic | Rossendale, Blackburn and surrounding areas
Lancashire County Council is seeking a Mobile Catering Assistant (Peripatetic) to cover schools in the Rossendale, Blackburn and surrounding areas. This is a permanent role with variable hours and a minimum of 16.25 hours per week.
Salary Β£12.60 per hour | Location Rossendale, Blackburn & Surrounding Areas | Hours 16.25 hours per week (term time only, Mon to Fri) | Travel Mileage allowance
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture and putting away
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages
- Clean all equipment and catering areas
- Run units in the absence of a unit catering supervisor
What We Are Looking For
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
- Good customer care skills
- Previous catering and food preparation experience would be essential
- Running various kitchens in the absence of the unit manager
Working Hours/Days
- Monday to Friday
- Term time only
- Essential car user
- 16.25 hours per week, hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake and service needs
