Peripatetic (mobile catering staff) required in the Pendle and surrounding area. As a mobile catering assistant, you will travel to different schools in the Pendle and surrounding area to cover where necessary. Must be willing to train as a kitchen supervisor. Must be able to drive. Mileage allowance is given for this role.
Lancashire serves over 60,000 school meals per day and we are looking for committed individuals to join the service. You will work as part of a team in primary schools in the Chorley and surrounding areas providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.
Key responsibilities:- Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages
- Clean all equipment and catering areas
- Willing to work as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
- Good customer care skills
- Previous catering and food preparation experience would be desirable
- Monday to Friday
- Term time only
