Mobile catering assistant

12.50 hours per week as a Peripatetic (Mobile catering assistant) covering schools in the Rossendale, Blackburn and Burnley areas. Mileage allowance. Term time only. Monday to Friday.

You will work as part of a team in and around Lancaster, providing high‑quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children. The role involves cover at various schools within Lancashire and is contracted to a minimum of 12.50 hours per week, pro‑rata.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture and putting away.
• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
• Work as part of a team.
• Work under pressure and use own initiative.
• Provide good customer care skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous catering and food preparation experience – essential.
• Essential car user.

Pay and Hours

Salary £12.60 per hour. Minimum 12.5 hours per week, variable hours depending on service needs.
