Are you an experienced litigation lawyer looking for a new challenge? Join our Legal Services team at County Hall and make a significant impact in a variety of litigation matters.
As a Litigation Lawyer, you will:

Manage a diverse caseload of litigated and pre-litigated cases, including personal injury, public liability, employers’ liability, highways, data protection, and general litigation.

Provide expert legal advice to council services and senior management.

Handle Fast Track, Multi Track cases, DCP, and Claims Portal matters.

Draft legal documents, liaise with counsel, and prepare witness evidence.

Conduct case management conferences and preliminary hearings.

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, or equivalent with a current practising certificate.

Extensive experience in litigation and knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and MOJ portal claims.

Strong advocacy, analytical, and research skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Whilst not essential, our ideal applicant would have experience working within or advising Local government with a focus on Children’s and Adult Service’s claims.
