Salary £25,185 – £25,989 per annum | Permanent, Part Time, various hours | Various locations across Chorley and West Lancs

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer focused and digitally confident individual to join our library teams.

What You\’ll Be Doing

As a Library Assistant, you\’ll support the delivery of a high-quality library and information service. This includes:

  • Assisting customers with accessing digital resources and information.
  • Supporting in the planning and delivery of events (e.g., author events, class visits).

You will be appointed to a library base(s), but there will be an expectation that you will work at other libraries as required. Hours of work range from 7 to 37 hours per week. Please see attachments for rotas.

  • Euxton & Eccleston Libraries – 14hpw
  • Parbold & Burscough Libraries – 10hpw

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal person will be welcoming and friendly, have a love for reading and be passionate about sharing this. You will have excellent communication and digital skills, be able to work with a range of stakeholders and be able to deliver a customer focused service.

This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.
