Are you passionate about reading and enjoy helping others? We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer‑focused and digitally confident individual to join our library teams. Lancashire Libraries are a vital service that provides welcoming, inclusive spaces where people of all ages can connect, learn and feel safe. What you'll be doing
- Assisting customers with accessing digital resources and information.
- Supporting in the planning and delivery of events (e.g. author events, class visits).
- Engaging with customers to promote reading for pleasure.
You will be appointed to a library base(s), but there will be an expectation that you will work at other libraries as required. Hours of work are listed against the available post and are a set working pattern over two weeks; please see the rota attachment at the bottom of the advert. These hours cannot be changed. The posts available are:
- Pike Hill Library – 18 hpw
- Brierfield Library – 15 hpw
- Colne Library – 18 hpw

Our ideal person will be welcoming and friendly, have a love for reading and be passionate about sharing this. You will have excellent communication and digital skills, be able to work with a range of stakeholders and be able to deliver a customer‑focused service.
