Location: St Mary's Catholic High School, Leyland, Royal Avenue, Leyland, Lancashire, PR25 1BS. St Mary's Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our support staff team. This role offers an opportunity to positively impact pupils’ learning, achievement, and wellbeing within our inclusive Catholic community.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support pupils in accessing the curriculum, overcoming barriers to learning, and reaching their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering classroom instruction and activities.
- Support pupils individually and in small groups.
- Provide assistance for students with Special Educational Needs.
- Assist with administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Desirable Qualification: NVQ level 2 or above (or equivalent).
- Essential Experience: Experience working with or caring for children of relevant age.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in a relevant classroom or service environment. Experience in administrative work. Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Schedule & Compensation
The position is part-time, term-time only, with a full-time equivalent salary paid pro-rata.
