Do you want to make a difference to the lives of people who have a disability? We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, flexible people who would enjoy supporting adults with disabilities to live the lives they want. The Service provides daytime support for people with learning disabilities in social, leisure, education and centre-based activities.
Responsibilities
- The support worker role involves all aspects of daily support, including helping people access activities and experiences in their local community.
- Providing personal care as needed.
- Supporting with managing finances and administering medication.
- Ensuring people’s needs are met in terms of health and positive outcomes.
- Maintaining a person-centred approach, supporting people with dignity and respect.
The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a disclosure.
