About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to support the smooth and efficient running of the laundry service at Grove House. The successful candidate will ensure a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and garment care for residents and staff, while working both independently and as part of the wider domestic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, iron, and neatly fold laundry items including clothing, bedding, and towels.
- Operate laundry machinery (washers, dryers, irons) safely and efficiently.
- Follow correct procedures for handling soiled or contaminated laundry.
- Ensure laundry is returned to the correct residents promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry room and equipment.
- Monitor stock levels of detergents and laundry supplies and report shortages when needed.
- Adhere to all infection control, health and safety, and organisational policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and visitors.
