At Lancashire County Council, we’re modernising how data flows across the organisation and beyond — and we’re looking for an Azure Integration Engineer to help make it happen. This is a great opportunity to work on large-scale, meaningful integrations that support frontline services, improve decision-making, and enable modern digital and data-driven solutions across the county.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and develop secure, scalable integration solutions using modern cloud technologies
- Build and manage APIs using tools such as Azure API Management and Logic Apps
- Develop and optimise SQL queries, views and stored procedures
- Work closely with data architects, business analysts and application teams
- Troubleshoot, test and support integrations to ensure reliability
- Implement aspects of the data strategy by aligning integration practices with LCC enterprise architecture and data strategy objectives
- Maintain technical documentation and standards
What we’re looking for
- Experience with integration technologies such as REST, APIs, JSON and XML
- Experience creating integrations using Azure or other cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)
- Strong SQL / T‑SQL skills
- Experience with data integration and ETL processes
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments including CI/CD and automation
- Good problem‑solving and communication skills
- A commitment to quality, collaboration and continuous improvement
