Role: Head of Transformation and Improvement

Location: County Hall, Preston (Hybrid Working)

Salary Range: £75,420 – £82,480 (Higher salary requirements will be considered for exceptional applicants. Please specify your salary requirements on your CV )

Lancashire County Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Transformation and Improvement to lead our ambitious change agenda. As our Head of Transformation and Improvement, you will be:

1. Leading the planning and effecting the delivery of the council\’s Transformation and Improvement Portfolio,
2. Inspiring and supporting senior managers across the council to achieve the Transformation and Improvement Portfolio outcomes,
3. Leading and developing the transformation and service improvement service, as a high-quality internal consultancy with a range of redesign and programme management capabilities,
4. Collaborating and influencing with stakeholders at all levels,
5. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Monitoring and evaluating the impact of transformation and improvement programmes to ensure they deliver the desired outcomes.

What we are looking for:

1. Strategic Leadership – You\’ll have substantial leadership experience delivering Transformation and Improvement within a local authority or similar public sector environment.
2. Service Excellence – You\’ll have a proven track record of delivering high-quality transformation and improvement services, managing complex budgets and leading high performing teams.
3. Stakeholder Engagement – You\’ll have significant experience of working with senior stakeholders, evidencing your ability to build credibility with senior managers, elected members, and external partners.
