We are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2b to join our SEN Unit team. Our SEN Unit supports 16 pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), with a wide range of ages, abilities and additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality provision which enables pupils to feel safe, supported and successful in their learning.
Key Responsibilities- Support pupils with EHCPs across the SEN Unit
- Assist pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
- Help deliver personalised learning activities and interventions
- Support positive behaviour and communication strategies
- Work with individual pupils and small groups across a range of ages and abilities
- Contribute to creating a nurturing, inclusive and structured environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families and external professionals where appropriate

Essential Qualifications- A relevant Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with children, ideally within a specialist or nurture provision.
- Understands the importance of inclusive practice and meeting individual needs.
- Patient, adaptable and able to build strong relationships with pupils.
- Can remain calm and supportive in a busy environment.
- Works effectively as part of a team.
- Has good communication and organisational skills.
