We are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2b to join our SEN Unit team. Our SEN Unit supports 16 pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), with a wide range of ages, abilities and additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality provision which enables pupils to feel safe, supported and successful in their learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with EHCPs across the SEN Unit
  • Assist pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
  • Help deliver personalised learning activities and interventions
  • Support positive behaviour and communication strategies
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups across a range of ages and abilities
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing, inclusive and structured environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, families and external professionals where appropriate

Essential Qualifications
  • A relevant Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
Essential Experience
  • Experience working with children, ideally within a specialist or nurture provision.
  • Understands the importance of inclusive practice and meeting individual needs.
  • Patient, adaptable and able to build strong relationships with pupils.
  • Can remain calm and supportive in a busy environment.
  • Works effectively as part of a team.
  • Has good communication and organisational skills.
