Location: Quernmore Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School, Postern Gate Road, Lancaster, LA2 9EL (96 on roll).
We are seeking a flexible and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA3) to support the opening of our new pre‑school provision. The role will involve working closely with the Reception Class Teacher and the existing Early Years team to provide high‑quality care and learning experiences for our youngest pupils.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting children’s development through play‑based learning and positive relationships.
- Providing care during the core school day and on lunch duty.
- Assisting with before‑ and after‑school clubs.
- Contributing to a nurturing, engaging early years environment within a supportive school community.
Essential Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (e.g. CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy.
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience working with young children in an early years setting.
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
