Job Description
Salary: £24,310 – £24,404 per annum (full-time equivalent) | Part-time, 14.5 hours per week | Pro Rata
Location: South Ribble Day Service, Leyland, Lancashire
Note: This role does not support international sponsorship.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Catering Domestic to support adults with disabilities by preparing and serving hot meals, maintaining hygiene standards, and assisting with kitchen and dining area duties. The position involves heating and serving meals, setting up dining areas, and cleaning, with an emphasis on dignity, respect, and teamwork.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, approximately 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, delivery, and service
- Prepare ingredients and operate catering equipment
- Set up and clear dining and service areas
- Adhere to dietary requirements
- Use kitchen machinery safely and effectively
- Clean kitchen and dining areas
- Reheat and serve pre-prepared meals, ensuring correct temperatures
- Monitor and record food and appliance temperatures
- Undertake basic laundry duties
- Manage stock levels and communicate needs to management
- Prepare drinks as needed
- Handle moving and lifting objects safely
- Maintain hygiene in toilets and bathrooms
- Record and monitor health and safety compliance
Additional Information
This position is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). Successful applicants will need to apply for a DBS disclosure.
