Roles & Responsibilities:
- Direct the work of the public health team.
- Act as the strategic lead for the portfolio across Lancashire.
- Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team within the council.
- Collaborate with public health colleagues, council directorates, the Integrated Care Board, NHS, district councils and voluntary sector.
- Establish and maintain working relationships and understand the context of services that impact health and health inequalities.
Service Focus:
- Role 1 – Health Protection and Health Intelligence.
- Role 2 – Health Improvement.
Requirements:
- Registered with GMC / GDC Specialist Register / UK Public Health Register (UKPHR).
- Proficient technical capability and proven system leadership.
- Committed to tackling health inequalities.
- Strong relationship‑managing and negotiation skills across diverse organisations.
- Leadership ability to contribute to a dynamic public health team.
