Role

The purpose of a Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) is to contribute towards managing Lancashire\’s highway network by ensuring compliance with parking and traffic regulations. CEOs identify and take appropriate action against non-compliance to help keep the highway network operating safely and effectively. The key objectives are:

  • Maximise compliance with parking and traffic rules and regulations
  • Identify and take appropriate action against non-compliance
  • Ensure enforcement action is appropriate and accurate
  • Provide high standards of service to customers and stakeholders

CEOs will patrol Lancashire\’s highway network on foot and in council vehicles, which they may be required to drive. The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and potentially challenging situations. During patrols, ICT tools will be used, and uniforms will be provided along with full training.

Requirements: A full driving licence and ability to drive a Lancashire County Council vehicle are essential.

This is a full-time position (37 hours per week). The service operates 7 days a week, with work scheduled on a 5 over 7 days rota, requiring flexibility in hours.

Applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check before starting. Successful candidates must complete all training and accreditation within 6 months.
