Our service: The Registration Service creates accurate and timely records of all Births, Still-Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships and makes provision for couples to give notice of their intention to marry or to form a Civil Partnership.

Your new role: We are looking for someone who is customer focused, confident using digital resources and committed to effective team working. You will have excellent people skills, and the ability to work accurately, following work procedures and without close supervision.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Undertaking duties attached to the registration of Births, Deaths and Still births
  • Attest routine notices of marriage and civil partnerships
  • Support the delivery of a high‑quality Registration Service
  • Work as a member of the Registration team

Annualised hours: These roles are annualised contracts, meaning you will work your hours over the year, for example 416 or 520 etc, but the hours you work each week will vary depending on demand. The annual salary will be pro‑rata. Work patterns are agreed in advance in accordance with the needs of the service but caveat that there may be occasions when the officer is required to work outside of this pattern. You will be asked to provide your availability 2 months in advance so that the rota of our ceremony programme can be put together and you can see when you will be working.
