We are recruiting to our Supported Living Service and Adult Disability Service within the Chorley Domiciliary Service in Adult Social Care at Lancashire County Council. The successful candidate will be a caring, reliable Support Worker based in the Chorley, Euxton and Coppull areas. This is a part‑time role (20 hours per week) with a full time equivalent salary of £23,114–£23,893 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome support workers into people's homes and support them with personal care, household chores, finances, medication and other day‑to‑day tasks.
  • Help service users participate in community activities, shopping trips and outdoor activities, providing comfort, positivity and encouragement.
  • Support people into the community and keep their spirits high.

Key Requirements

  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of supported people.
  • Empathy, resilience and the ability to communicate clearly with every individual, especially during challenging behaviour.
  • A caring nature, good heart and willingness to learn; a background in Health and Social Care is not essential.

What We Offer

  • Fabulous flexibility with hours ranging from 20 to 37 per week, including sleep‑ins and weekend work.
  • 33% shift premium at weekends, 50% premium for bank holidays, and a £40.76 sleep‑in allowance.
  • Full time equivalent salary paid pro‑rata and up to 31 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays and 2 additional statutory bank holidays.

Other Information
