Peripatetic (mobile catering staff) required in the Chorley and Surrounding area. As a Mobile Catering Assistant, you will travel to different schools in the Chorley and Surrounding area to cover where necessary. Must be willing to train as a kitchen supervisor. Must be able to drive. Mileage allowance is given for this role.
You will work as part of a team in Primary Schools in the Chorley and Surrounding areas providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away.
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
- Clean all equipment and catering areas.
- Willing to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
- Good customer care skills.
- Previous catering and food preparation experience would be desirable.
Working Hours / Days: Monday to Friday, Term time only, 15 hours per week minimum, although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake.
You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
