Salary: £25,185 – £25,989 per annum. Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week. Expiry: Fixed term 30/04/2026. This role is not open to international sponsorship.

We are one of 16 care homes managed by Lancashire County Council and offer quality, safe, comfortable care and support for up to 47 elderly residents with a range of needs.

About the Role

As a Business Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Registered Care Manager and our wider care team in their day‑to‑day duties. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience within a fast‑paced Business Support function. In this role you will be the backbone of our administrative operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will maintain high data quality and support our wider care team. As the first point of contact for service users and partners, you will provide a friendly and professional service, directly impacting the quality of care and creating a welcoming environment for our residents.

About You

  • Providing Administrative Support: Proven experience in offering comprehensive administrative assistance in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Working Accurately Under Pressure: Demonstrated ability to remain organised and maintain attention to detail even when working under tight deadlines.
  • Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and capable of learning new systems to efficiently maintain electronic and manual filing systems, to meet business and statutory requirements.
  • Data Review and Cleansing: The ability to review, cleanse and maintain high‑quality data within established systems and processes.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable clear and effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive problem solver, working using initiative to ensure smooth and efficient operations are developed and maintained.
