Join Our Team as a Registration Officer at Lancashire County Council! We are currently recruiting a Ceremonies Officer to work at Preston Registration Office. This is a permanent role, and you will work 37 hours per week. This will include some evening/weekend and bank holiday cover.
The role is to:
- Manage the organisation and provision of ceremonies for the Lancashire Registration Service, through its registration offices, religious buildings and other approved premises within the local authority.
- Contribute to the provision of a professional registration and ceremonies service within the local area and across the County as a whole.
- Be responsible for the leadership, management, and development of the Ceremonies Support Office team.
Our service: The Registration Service creates accurate and timely records of all Births, Still-Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships and makes provision for couples to give notice of their intention to marry or to form a Civil Partnership.
Your new role: We are looking for someone who is customer focussed, confident using digital resources and committed to effective team working. You will have supervision experience with the skills to manage and motivate a team of staff and provide technical advice and support. You will also need to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, have excellent organisational skills, have the ability to work independently and manage resources.
