Catering Assistant | Tarleton Holy Trinity | Part Time | Fixed Term

Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day. You will work as part of a team in Tarleton Holy Trinity providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.

International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away
  • Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages
  • Cleaning of all equipment and catering areas

What We Are Looking For

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
  • Good customer care skills
  • Previous catering and food preparation experience would be desirable

Working Hours/Days

  • Monday to Friday
  • Term time only 17.5 hrs per week; hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake

This position is fixed term, covering sickness, until 31 December 2025. This position is part time and term time only; the salary quoted is full time equivalent and the salary received will be paid on a pro‑rata basis.
