Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving more than 60,000 school meals per day. We are looking for committed individuals to join the service at West St Primary School. You will work as part of a team providing high‑quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children, producing up to 200 meals a day across two schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture and putting away.
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
- Clean all equipment and catering areas.
What we are looking for
- An enthusiastic, experienced individual in industrial catering.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to take charge in the manager’s absence.
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
- Good customer care skills.
- Previous catering and food preparation experience is essential.
Working Hours / Days
- 10 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday.
- Term time only.
- Plus, four cleaning days throughout the year.
