As a Catering Assistant at Ashton Community College, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of working term‑time only, with no evening, weekend, or school holiday shifts. This is a great opportunity if you’re looking for occasional work that fits around your other commitments. This role is a Casual position and hours are not guaranteed.
Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across the county, serving more than 60,000 meals every day. Now, we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals like you to join our casual team.
In this role, you will:
- Support schools across your local area as and when needed
- Help prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals to students
- Keep catering areas and equipment clean and hygienic
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Can stay calm under pressure and use your initiative
- Have great customer service skills
- Have experience in catering or food preparation (this is a bonus, not a must!)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 2 hours per day, Total: 10 hours per week – term time only.
