Casual Catering Assistant – The Gallery at White Cross Business Centre
We are currently seeking a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our Conference and Catering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the catering delivery in our inhouse Gallery Café including, breakfast, lunch and refreshment service.
The role is Monday – Friday, hours are varied and flexible across the week (approximately 15) between 08:00 – 14:00.
Your day will consist of basic food preparation, service of food and drinks, as well as assisting in stocking shelves, serving customers, clearing, and cleaning tables, providing a great customer experience and a high-quality service. Catering experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
Scope of Work
Food preparation: The Gallery offers a range of hot and cold food and beverages across the day. There is a range of breakfast and lunch items available that you will be required to prepare and serve. We also provide a range of hot and cold drinks, so you’ll help ensure that stock levels are regularly checked and replenished to keep fridges and coffee machines fully supplied and ready for service.
Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service is at the heart of this role. As a Catering Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face our customers see each day, offering a warm welcome and professional service at the counter. You’ll take pride in creating a positive experience for every customer, whether you\’re serving food, answering questions, or handling payments. A helpful attitude, good communication skills, and a genuine passion for delivering great service are essential
