We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer to enhance our already established friendly and supportive team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children’s Directorate.

This post is within School Organisation and Assessment based at County Hall, Fishergate, Preston, PR1 8RE providing support to schools, other LCC colleagues, school advisers and managers. This post involves some home working and some elements of working from home.

You could be really experienced in administration or looking to build on your previous experience and there is no better place to do this than with us.

Passion – You’ll be passionate about delivering a great service and experience, it’s what will motivate you, getting it right first time, asking for support when you need it and building on the skills that you’ve developed elsewhere.

Knowledge and Experience – Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.

Great Communication – You’ll be engaging and providing advice to Managers, Social Workers, families, members of the public and the rest of the team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.
