Job Title – Business Support Officer grade 4
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer to enhance our already established friendly and supportive team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children\'s Directorate.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The post sits within the Central 4 Team, supporting several children\'s homes within Residential Services. The postholder will be expected to support Home Managers and operational staff based at various children\'s homes across central Lancashire.
You may be highly experienced in administration or looking to build on your existing skills—either way, there’s no better place to do this than with us. The post is based at County Hall, Preston (PR1 8XB); however, we operate a hybrid working model, combining home and office working at County Hall. On occasion, support may also be required within the home setting. Therefore, you will need a suitable workspace at home and a reliable broadband connection.

Knowledge and Experience – Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.
Great Communication – You\'ll be engaging and providing advice to Managers, Social Workers, families, members of the public and the rest of the team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.
