We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer to enhance our established team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate.

The post is in the Child Protection Administration Team currently based at The Exchange, Barden Lane, Burnley BB10 1JD providing outstanding support to operational staff and managers with all administration tasks in relation to Child Protection.

We are currently working a combination of home and office working, therefore, you will be required to have a suitable working space within your home and broadband connection. If you are unable to provide a suitable homeworking environment, you will be required to work from your office base or nearest suitable office location for your non-office working hours. The working in the office days for this Team are Monday and Friday.

You could be really experienced in administration or looking to build on your previous experience and there's no better place to do this than with us.

  • Knowledge and Experience – Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.
  • Great Communication – You’ll be engaging and providing advice to Managers, Social Workers, families, members of the public and the rest of the team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.
