About the Role

As a Senior Residential Child Care Worker you will lead and support a team of Residential Childcare Workers, champion the care, safety and development of children with complex needs, implement care plans, promote education, support emotional wellbeing, take a central role in inspections, safeguarding and care planning, and demonstrate best practice, integrity and compassion. You will work on a rota basis, covering a mix of days, evenings, weekends and sleep‑in shifts.

Qualifications

  • Hold a QCF Level 4 or NVQ Level 3 or 4 in a relevant field.
  • Confident in leading shifts, mentoring staff and managing risk.
  • Understand children’s legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Must have a car or be willing to provide one for duties and be insured for business use.
