What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading on asset condition management across PFI contracts, ensuring buildings, infrastructure and equipment meet contractual and statutory requirements.
  • Monitoring lifecycle investment, maintenance quality and asset performance, challenging underinvestment or deferred maintenance.
  • Carrying out and overseeing condition surveys, audits and technical inspections across a large and complex portfolio.
  • Providing expert technical advice to senior stakeholders on risks, compliance, lifecycle planning and handback readiness.
  • Working with SPVs, FM providers and internal teams to manage issues, disputes, variations and commercial decisions where technical input is required.

What We’re Looking For

  • A chartered or professionally qualified building or property professional (e.g. MRICS or equivalent).
  • Significant experience advising on building condition, asset management or capital programmes within complex or public‑sector environments.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, lifecycle planning and condition management.
  • The confidence to influence, challenge and hold contractors to account.
