An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Nursery Teacher to join a highly regarded early years setting in Burnley. This role requires a skilled practitioner with a strong understanding of Early Years education and a commitment to inclusive practice. The position is particularly suitable for candidates who hold a SENCo qualification or who have the ambition to train as a SENCo with support from the setting. Please note the role requires an experienced teacher; Early Career Teachers (ECTs) cannot be supported.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching within Early Years / Nursery settings
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and assessment practices
- Demonstrable experience supporting children with SEND
- Ability to create a nurturing, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
Desirable
- SENCo qualification or willingness to undertake SENCo training
- Experience working in a maintained nursery or similar early years setting
