As a Business Analyst you will:

  • Help identify and shape digital change opportunities highlighted by Strategic Business Partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Use structured analysis to understand complex business problems to create clear, evidence‑based requirements and benefits.
  • Facilitate workshops, engage stakeholders and support commissioning activity to ensure new digital solutions are viable, user‑centred and aligned with business objectives.
  • Work with services to assess options and inform digital solutions that improve how the Council operates.
  • Support the delivery of projects, understanding feasibility and benefits, and contribute to service design and smooth transition into operational support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Professional certification or substantial experience in business analysis, or similar roles.
  • Significant experience analysing and designing business processes, ideally in a complex or public‑sector environment.
  • Significant experience applying business analysis methodologies, assessing digital options, quantifying benefits and contributing to business cases, and requirements gathering.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and present evidence‑based recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience eliciting, creating and managing requirements.
