Summary: We wish to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team, to support our teaching staff and assist the progress and achievements of children with additional needs. The role supports children in any of our classes and requires a good standard of English and Maths, and experience working with children who have social interaction and communication needs.
Term & Salary: The position is term time only. Salary quoted is full-time equivalent and will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
Essential Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or above qualification – appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
Desirable Qualifications:
- Pediatric First Aid
- CPI
Essential Experience:
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
- Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
- Experience of delivering interventions
- Experience of supporting pupils with social interaction and communication needs
Desirable Experience:
- Experience of working in Early Years
Requirements:
Applicants must have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).
