Summary: Barnacre Road Primary School is seeking to appoint an Assistant SENDCO to support leadership of provision for pupils with additional learning needs and to work closely with the SENDCO to secure excellent outcomes for all. The successful candidate will be committed to removing barriers to learning, using resources in thoughtful, effective and creative ways to meet the needs of individual pupils with additional and different learning needs.
In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, an online search will be carried out as part of due diligence on shortlisted candidates. The salary quoted is full-time equivalent and will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
Essential Qualifications:- Recognised and relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
- NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent
- HLTA Status
- Experience of working with children with special educational needs
- Relevant and recent CPD
- Experience of EHCP applications and reviews
- Experience of teaching in EYFS/KS1
