Trinity Primary School is looking to appoint an Apprentice EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3) within our Early Years team. The role is an apprenticeship that combines practical teaching support with academic study provided by Nelson and Colne College.
Job Details
- Salary: £8 per hour (actual £10,581 pro‑rata, term‑time only, 38 weeks per year).
- Contract: Fixed‑Term Contract (01/09/2026 to 31/08/2028).
- Hours: 30 hours per week.
- Location: Skelmersdale, Lancashire, WN8 8PW.
- Closing date: 12 June 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide teaching and learning support to children aged 6 months to 5 years.
- Collaborate with teachers and the team to plan, deliver, and evaluate the curriculum, including differentiation.
- Assist with classroom preparation, supervision, and the maintenance of a supportive environment.
- Participate in apprenticeship learning and self‑study alongside the working day.
Qualifications
- GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
- Level 2 or T Level in childcare (desirable).
Experience
- Experience of working with children in EYFS (desirable).
