Applications are invited for the post of Restorative Justice and Out of Court Resolutions (OOCR) Manager within Criminal Justice Services, Restorative Justice, based at Hutton Headquarters.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Leading, managing and motivating a team of Restorative Justice staff with responsibility for coordinating and delivering Restorative Justice (RJ) and Out of Court Resolution (OOCR) diversions.
  • Overseeing the delivery of Restorative Justice outcomes, including conferences across the spectrum of offending, making best use of resources whilst adhering to corporate and national policy.
  • Providing overall day to day management of the RJ & OOCR Coordinators and RJ Admin, managing the welfare needs of individuals.
  • Engaging with partner criminal justice agencies to extend the use of Restorative Justice.
  • Overseeing delivery of Out of Court diversionary inputs to offenders in line with National Framework and Codes of Practice.
  • Reviewing, implementing and managing processes, overseeing complex cases and providing specialist advice, supporting staff, officers, departments and other forces and agencies in relation to best practice, ensuring a victim-focused approach is maintained at all times.

Role Requirements:

  • 3 day (Level 2) Restorative Justice training must have been completed to apply.
  • Full UK Manual driving licence.
  • Vetting and Medical: Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). There is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment Vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment. Candidates shortlisted will be asked to undertake an assessment as part of the interview process.
