Lancashire Constabulary is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pension Assistant to join our Finance/HR team. This is an excellent opportunity to support the administration of police pension schemes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality service to officers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Pensions officer with general administration, monitoring the inbox and dealing with general pension queries.
- Liaise with Lancashire Pension Partnership Administration (LPPA) to support the pension officers in updating and chasing outstanding cases.
- Support the Pension Officer with the implementation and administration of pension remedy.
Skills And Experience
- Experience of working with minimal supervision, organising and prioritising own workload.
- Knowledge of public sector pensions and in particular the Police Pension Scheme(s) and the Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Experience of working to deadlines and tight timescales, within a busy environment.
- Experience of producing accurate written information and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience of communicating clearly with internal and external contacts in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
Vetting And Medical
As a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting. There is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
