Lancashire Constabulary is looking to recruit a reliable and professional Security Officer to help protect police premises, people, and assets. This role is vital in maintaining a safe and secure environment for officers, staff, detainees, and members of the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Gate house duties – access control, barrier operation, booking in/out of police & pool vehicles, complete patrol logs, incident reports, key issue logs, booking in visitors, booking in/out of property, assisting residents. Duties require the use of a telephone and computer & CCTV monitoring. Regular interaction with the public.
- Patrols – mobile and on foot of HQ site and satellite sites at Lindle lane. Security breach patrols, internal and external building checks, fenceline checks. Intruder and fire alarm response patrols. Most patrols are solo with constant radio communication with other team members and/or control room.
Skills And Experience
- Security Industry Authority (SIA) License qualification or equivalent, or willingness to work towards within 2 years.
- A Full UK manual driving license and willingness to travel on Constabulary business, as required.
Vetting And Medical
Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting. There is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment. The successful candidate will be required to work in accordance with the attached rota.
