Lancashire Constabulary is seeking a skilled and motivated ICT Applications Officer Team Leader to lead a team responsible for the support, development and management of critical business applications. This role is based at Hutton Headquarters. You will combine strong technical understanding with effective leadership, ensuring application services are reliable, secure, and aligned with operational and organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of ICT Application Officers and Service Management working with third‑party suppliers.
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge of the products, ensuring the team can provide effective support to all users.
- Engage across the organisation, with partners and suppliers, representing the application team and the organisation at internal and external meetings.
- Enable the continuous development and improvement of ICT Applications to support business/process improvement.
- Perform on‑call duties on an ad‑hoc basis for systems upgrades and for technical issues experienced outside core hours.
Skills And Experience
- Experience interrogating computer systems to produce accurate reports and management information (graphs, tables and statistics) to support and inform management decisions.
- Experience developing a healthy, happy and dynamic team in difficult and testing conditions and supervising the team to deliver results.
- Experience working on own initiative, investigating problems, developing solutions and taking timely action to resolve them.
- Applicants must have GCSE Maths and English or equivalent, together with an ITIL Foundation qualification or willingness to work towards it.
