Lancashire Constabulary is seeking a skilled and motivated ICT Applications Officer Team Leader to lead a team responsible for the support, development and management of critical business applications. This role is based at Hutton Headquarters.
You will combine strong technical understanding with effective leadership, ensuring application services are reliable, secure, and aligned with operational and organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of ICT Application Officers and Service Management and work with third-party suppliers.
- Use your IT & Service skills, develop product knowledge and ensure the team provides the most effective user support.
- Engage across the organisation, with partners and third-party suppliers, representing the application team and organisation at internal and external meetings.
- Enable continuous development and improvement of ICT applications to support business/process improvement.
- Occasionally perform on-call duties for systems upgrades and technical issues outside core hours.
- Experience interrogating computer systems to produce accurate reports and management information (graphs, tables and statistics) to support and inform management decisions.
- Experience developing a healthy, happy and dynamic team in difficult and testing conditions and supervising to deliver results.
- Experience working on own initiative, investigating problems, developing solutions and taking timely action to resolve them.
- Applicants must have GCSE Maths and English or equivalent, plus ITIL Foundation or a willingness to work toward it.
