An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the East Lancashire Community Living Skills Mental Health Team.
LSCFT Specialist Mental Health Rehabilitation is undergoing transformation across inpatient and community services to implement a robust pathway for people with complex mental health needs. The aim is to provide a whole‑pathway of support locally, offering an inpatient and community service that meets the identified needs of the LSCFT population and ensures services are safe, effective, evidence‑based and informed by national plans and clinical guidance.
Job Responsibilities
- Work within an Occupational Therapy‑led service to deliver intensive rehabilitation to service users in the community.
- Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention to service users with complex needs.
- Develop individualised rehabilitation plans to be delivered by Support Time and Recovery workers.
- Support the transformation programme by helping to standardise service provision and reduce inequalities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post‑registration experience and experience in a relevant mental health setting.
- Excellent communication skills, sound clinical reasoning and a strong understanding of the occupational therapy role within recovery.
- Knowledge of current best practice in community mental health and awareness of relevant government directives and legislation.
