A Vacancy at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking to recruit a Specialist Psychiatrist (Specialist Grade) to work with the Central Lancashire Home Treatment Team (HTT), based at the Avondale Unit, Royal Preston Hospital. This post is full time (10 PA) and for a fixed term of 12 months initially. There may be the opportunity for the postholder to join one of the On‑Call rotas if they hold the necessary qualification and registration. Additional remuneration would be payable for this.
The Central Lancashire Home Treatment Team provides a 24/7 service for people in the Central Lancashire area with the main emphasis on preventing hospital admission where appropriate, preventing unnecessary 136 detentions and attendances at A&E departments. Working holistically to support service users within their own homes and remaining in the community as per evidence‑based practice, the post carries no responsibility for inpatients.
Applicants must have:
- Full GMC registration
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades
- Section 12 approved at the time of commencing employment
