Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) Adult Learning Disability Services is looking to recruit a new Occupational Therapist to join our Intensive Support Team.

This Band 7 Occupational Therapy post is part of Adult Learning Disability Services and works closely with the Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) and the inpatient hospitals, specifically Watermeadow View. It offers an exciting opportunity to progress your career and further develop specialist skills working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment, formulation, and evidence‑based interventions to adults with learning disabilities, their families and carers.
  • Deliver assessment, treatment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of evidence‑based OT interventions to people with learning disability, mental illness, and behaviours of concern across Lancashire & South Cumbria.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team as part of the Intensive Support Team.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs, risk and behavioural distress.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Adaptable, highly motivated, and passionate about improving outcomes for people with learning disabilities and their families.
