We are looking for a friendly approachable individual with excellent communication skills and a flexible outlook, to join our small team based at the Lantern Centre Preston. The team deliver services to all NHS staff and students working across the trust. Assisting with the day-to-day running of the library, you will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team. The ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail is important.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the library, work independently and as part of a team, and multi-task with attention to detail.
  • Help library users find the information they need for patient care, professional development and research.
  • Maintain membership and library management data (using the Koha LMS), provide interlibrary loan service, deliver user education, conduct basic cataloguing, and perform other general library duties.
  • Support the Library Manager, Outreach Librarian and Assistant Library and Knowledge Specialist in delivering an efficient and effective library and information service to meet the needs of all trust staff, students and service users.
