We have an exciting opportunity for Staff Nurses to join us and support the Multi‑Disciplinary Team to deliver outstanding person centred care. One of the Trust's aims is to deliver the best possible care to our patients, and this new inpatient unit will do just that. Water Meadow View will offer clinical excellence, support, and safety, with patient‑centred care at its heart.
The post holder will work in collaboration with the clinical leads and the ward manager, and other team members within the multidisciplinary team. The post holder will work a flexible shift pattern including weekend working, providing day‑to‑day direct care. The post holder will ensure the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based, compassionate, person‑centred care and that care is provided in a safe and clean environment. The post holder will contribute to and participate in the on‑going support of patients and their carers. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients within an agreed framework.
- Plan and implement a structured approach to nursing care that takes account of service user choice.
- Accurately observe service users to assess needs and evaluate progress.
- Promote an environment for effective practice, complying with all health and safety requirements.
- Manage and supervise junior healthcare staff within the team.
- Ensure that the needs of people with learning disabilities, including their physical, mental, and spiritual (holistic) needs, are effectively assessed and managed through the care planning process involving other specialists as appropriate.
- Maintain knowledge and follow all relevant trust policies and procedures.
- Participate in the appraisal process, identifying personal training needs relevant to the specialist area.
- Exercise professional accountability and responsibility using skills, knowledge and expertise in changing environments, across clinical boundaries and in unfamiliar situations as outlined within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Actively engage and seek clinical and managerial supervision to support your practice.
- Work within a Positive Behavioural Framework.
