Water Meadow View is a new mental health inpatient unit for adults with learning disabilities, opening in late 2025 on our site in Whittingham, Preston. We are seeking a Medical Secretary to support the Multi-Disciplinary Team in delivering outstanding, person-centred care.
Our Trust aims to provide the best possible care. Water Meadow View will focus on clinical excellence, support, safety, and patient-centred care.
The post holder will provide comprehensive secretarial, administrative, and information services to designated Consultants and their teams. This includes organizing workloads, coordinating activities with other medical secretaries, and ensuring an efficient, confidential service.

Key responsibilities include:
- Communicating and correspond with senior/network managers on complex, sensitive issues, requiring negotiation, empathy, and reassurance skills.
- Screening emails, faxes, and correspondence, establishing validity and priority, taking appropriate action, and flagging urgent matters to managers.
- Planning and organizing complex network-wide activities and meetings, adjusting schedules, and responding to conflicting demands.
