Medical Secretary – Moving Well Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary to join the Moving Well Service within Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide vital and dynamic medical secretarial support and supervision, mainly based at Minerva Health Centre, Lowthorpe Road, Preston.

Responsibilities

The post holder will work closely with the Deputy Admin Lead, Consultants, other Clinical Professionals, Service Managers and operational managers to provide an efficient and responsive administration service. Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day supervision of the administrative team in adherence to Trust policies and procedures, formulating all staffing rotas and ensuring timely distribution, and supporting the management of operational clinical services.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have proven communication skills, experience in supervision and maintaining staff and client confidentiality, and the ability to work on own initiative. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working in a busy and constantly changing environment, remain calm under pressure, meet strict deadlines, motivate and influence others, and suggest and implement ideas to improve team performance and efficiency.

A standard CRB disclosure will be required.
